Tucson Demolition Co works with homeowners, builders, property managers and developers across Tucson and Pima County. Block and adobe walls, stucco, flat roofs and caliche-hard soil all shape how a Sonoran Desert job is planned, and we scope the work around them: permits, utility shutoffs, controlled teardown, dust control and haul-off, ending with a site that is ready for the next trade.
What we take on:
- Residential demolition: block, brick and wood-frame homes, garages and casitas
- Commercial demolition: retail, office and light-industrial buildings
- Interior demolition: tenant gut-outs, restaurant and retail strip-outs, kitchen and bath tear-outs
- Concrete removal and hauling: slabs, driveways, footings and block walls
Before the first swing:
- Permits: Inside city limits, demolition permits go through the City of Tucson Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD); unincorporated parcels follow Pima County. Historic-zone properties can add review time, so check early.
- Asbestos: An asbestos inspection comes first, and federal NESHAP notification goes to the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ). Confirm current requirements with PDEQ for your building.
- Utilities: Underground lines are marked through Arizona 811, and service is shut off and capped before demolition begins.
- Dust and heat: Summer heat and monsoon storms affect scheduling, water use and runoff, so we plan those into the job.
- Cost: Pricing depends on structure type, size, access, hazardous materials and haul distance. We quote after reviewing your project.
